You sure can I live in Kansas City Missouri. But it was just legalized in Kansas. I drive 8 miles to Kansas state lines and make my bets. You have to be a few miles inside the state line for it to accurately get your GPS location. I do this 2-3 times a week.
Is HotelTonight a safe bet for a weekend?

I need to book a hotel room in downtown Grand Rapids next month- but rates are around $200/night, which I can't afford. I'm wondering if its a terrible idea to risk it and use HotelTonight the day of. Is there a good chance we'll find a place for significantly cheaper (especially in a popular downtown spot on Saturday night)? Or do I suck it up and reserve one ASAP?

They are all owned by Expedia, and are basically one big company pretending to be their own competitors.
I work at a front desk in a hotel and I think travelers should know that comparing any of those sites is a complete waste of time because they are ALL THE SAME company.
A reservation made by any of those locations, my hotel bills Expedia.
Just wanted to share some industry knowledge about a company that runs ad campaigns separately like they are competitors.

What's my best bet for using up RBC Rewards points?

Hi everyone! I'm an avid reader of this thread and was hoping someone might be able to help me out. I have some RBC Rewards points I'd like to use. I am going to get a new credit card soon, and wouldn't mind cashing in my points instead of letting them build.
In the past, I've always got gift cards with the rewards but they've changed the amounts needed and they're not that great anymore.
None of the Rewards seem to be that beneficial, and I don't have enough to make them really significant (about 14,000). Between travel, pay back with points, investments, merchandise, gift cards... Any recommendations on how I can use them? I looked through the merchandise and there isn't really anything I'd use, but if it's the best "deal" to use them, I would maybe save them for the right thing.
Any advice is appreciated -- thanks.

I converted mine to Westjet dollars to help pay for a flight, it was a lot better value than getting gift cards.
I believe you can convert them to a couple other airlines like British Airways.
Best bet for a 18-20' camper with bunks?

We're looking to move up from our high wall popup to a "normal" (for lack of a better term) camper. Hoping someone here has some suggestions, or even better, if you know of anyone selling something that fits the bill, I'd love to know about it. We're near Atlanta, but willing to drive anywhere in the southeast or possibly even up into the midwest for a good deal.
We're currently considering the Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pup 18TO, Starcraft Autumn Ridge 180BHS, and possibly the Aspen Trail LE 1950BH. Anyone have opinions on those, or anything similar?
Must haves:
Under 4,000lbs dry
Queen bed for the adults and bunks for the kids (I've seen a few with full size bunks, and they're nice, but twins would work too)
Bigger fridge/freezer (not the little dorm fridge)
13,500 BTU A/C (not a window unit shoved in the side of the camper)
Additional things that we could live without, but really would like:
Slide-out dinette would be awesome (wife thinks we need the floor space, plus some of those are a u-shaped dinette.. I know that is a tough ask at under 4,000lbs)
A sink in the bathroom. Seems like some have it and some don't.
Outdoor kitchen area, even if it's just the beer fridge like the Wolf Pup has.
Power awning
Shelf/headboard area by the queen bed. Wife saw that and liked it.
I'm not too worried about the kitchen itself, as I do all the cooking on the Blackstone when we camp, so stove size is pretty unimportant. Our popup has a stove/oven combo and we've never used it.

Top Comment: Under 4,000lbs dry Why 4000lb dry? What is your TV and what are its capabilities (tow capacity, max tongue weight and PAYLOAD)? The reason I ask is that we see people literally daily on here trying to buy based on dry weight that nearly maxes out their TV but when loaded will exceed capacity or exceeds payload capacity when loaded. You have to determine what you can actually tow before looking at models. Lots of folks on here can help with this. Also going from a low vehicle to high will bring a whole new dimension in towing with wind resistance that TV needs to deal with. Most vehicles have a max frontal area listed in owners manual that you can tow. Need to check that.
